There are no problem uploading levels with that uncommon names here. As for upload *.d?? is not possible. Available extensions are .dat, .zip, .sp, .mpx

Regarding editor panel, that panel is not so easy to remove but I will take a look on that.

Speedfix was written in assembler and Megaplex was in Visual Basic 6. By itself this is already a big difference in speed.

Megaplex is written in Visual Basic 6. It has about 21k lines of source code. The game heart it's hard to change because it was written directly from the Herman assembler sources.
